Pattern Description

Crafted to gracefully flatter, this 1950's housecoat comes in three distinct lengths, each sporting a shawl collar and gored skirt with pockets at the side front.

As shown on pattern illustration, gathered eyelet edging enhances the long version, while the street length and short wrap-around styles of View 1 feature finished tie ends.

Styling classic elegance, View 2 and 3 are fastened in the back and the edges elegantly bound with contrasting bias tape.

Fabric Recommendations

View 1 and 2:  Cotton, pique, linen, polished cotton, gingham, plisse, challis, rayon, nylon.  View 1 also in wool.  View 3:  Cottons, linen, rayon, taffeta, faille, cotton tweed.

Sewing Notions

View 1, 2 and 3:  Thread, bias seam binding (Optional)

View 1:  2 buttons

View2:  2 packages of double fold bias tape
