Pattern Description

By the late '50s, this silhouette had become a popular choice for evening, cocktail and prom wear. In 1958, the New York Times called the bubble skirt "one of the prettiest dance fashions for evening," especially when paired with sheer stockings and evening gloves.  ("Skirting the Issue." New York Times 1 Nov. 1958: 16)

View 1 has set-in sleeves and shaped, self fabric tie ends.

View 2 is sleeveless and has self fabric shoulder bows.
